Here is a dumb dumb rule by Whole Foods – no touching of customers, please read the blog from Church of the Customer “Is A Shoplifter A Customer” and all the comments.
If we employed this rule would it mean no handshaking with customers? No slap on the backs with customers? No high fives with customers?
I wonder if our Japanese customers employ this rule, they always bow rather than shake hands?
